Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

7 Months

When Makena was a baby I seriously took pictures of her in like every outfit she ever wore but I have not been quite as camera crazy with Marli. Although I must admit I still do have tons of pictures of her. Anyway, since she is now 7 months old and it has been awhile since I took some pics of her I decided to do a little photo shoot of my cute girl today. Those 7 months sure did fly by!

The Latest and Greatest!!

I'm not sure where to start...lately life is so crazy and busy (just like it is for everyone) but also so much fun, filled with so many sweet moments. The girls are growing so fast and they just make our life so happy! One thing that has been really exciting for me as the new year came around was realizing I made it through my first year being the Young Women's President in our ward. It has been a lot of work and a lot of time but so much fun at the same time. It was so nice to look back and see how well everything went and how much I love the girls and other leaders that I work with. Makena is still doing great in both her dance and preschool class. She is such a smart girl and is getting so grown up. She got to go on a field trip to the Tree House Museum about a month ago and was thrilled when she found out she got to ride a school bus, she has been wanting to ride a bus for a very long time. It was so fun to go with her and watch her experience new things. She also started Primary in January and LOVES it! Makena continues to be the best big sister to Marli, she is always so concerned for her and loves her so much. They are the cutest sisters. I love it! Marli is now 7 months, I can't believe it! I wish I could freeze her just the way she is right now, she is so much fun. She is the most happy, smiley baby. She laughs all the time and it is so funny and cute! She rolls over and is super close to sitting up on her own. She is a good little eater although at firt she wasn't too sure about baby food, she just wanted to spit it at us. She thought it was the funniest thing ever, but now she really likes it. Here are some pictures of some of the fun times over the past few months.

In December we went rock climbing with Grandma and Grandpa Wilding and Aunt Mandi and Uncle Cole while they were in town. Even little Kena gave it a try. It was tons of fun!

Grandma and Marli watching the climbers.

We went bowling and Makena thought the shoes were super cool! Here she is showing them off, it was a great time!

SISTERS! Just hanging our and having fun playing together!

5 Months Old

Getting big enough that she can play with her toy table, she is about 6 months here. She is pushing herself all around it now! She has lots of fun!!

Getting ready for bath time. Love that cute body! About 6 months old.

She started rolling just a few days before she was 6 months. She still isn't in love with the whole rolling thing, she prefers to stay on her back.

Makena made Valentines for her preschool class and got to pass them out at school. She picked Minnie Mouse Valentines. Here she is ready to go to her preschool in her cute Valentines outfit. It brought back memories of my childhood, I can't believe I know have a child taking Valentines to school.

We went to a little arcade here by our house for a fun family night, it was such a good night. Makena had a blast and we all enjoyed being together as a family.

In Febuary we rented out the "Flow Rider" with some of Shane's sisters and cousins on a Saturday for an hour. We all tried out our surfing skills and had a ton of fun and had a ton of wipe outs! Here we are getting the 3 second lesson, we are all excited and nervous!

Grandma Glee and Marli watching all the action.

We started Marli on solid foods at 6 months. For the first week she thought it was all a game and tried to see how far she could spit it. She was a mess every time she ate it...as frustrating as it was she was so stinking cute and made us all laugh. Makena was a big helper and loved feeding her. She isn't such a mess these days.

One thing Makena loves to do is dance to her music. Lately we have been having "dance parties", we turn the music up and dance all around. Usually we put Marli in her bumbo seat and dance around her, she loves the music and craziness! The bumbo has helped her sit up too, she is almost doing it on her own. Makena is an awesome dancer, I love watching all her moves. Good times!

Playing in Marli's crib.

Today we took advantage of the nice weather and Makena took her new bike for a ride!!

She picked up a friend along the way. Makena and our neighbor Mayzie, they played for a long time and had a great time. I can tell Makena is getting big because she loves other kids and wants to play with her friends all the time!

Even Marli enjoyed a little walk in the stroller.
